Nemours Children’s Health System

HSJ serves as a partner to Nemours by providing security and technology consulting, design engineering and client-side project management services enterprise wide.  We support Nemours’ IT, facilities, and security operations teams as well as project architects, MEP engineers, and contractors of choice throughout the project life cycle. HSJ also guides projects through AHJ code compliance inspections to ensure end-user requirements and stringent building codes are met. This guidance helps owner occupancy and clinical operations stay on schedule and within budget. 

Projects have included greenfield new hospital campuses such as the 630,000 sq ft Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, FL, the 450,000 sq ft patient tower additions at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE and multiple medical office buildings, freestanding satellite clinics and existing hospital facility renovations and build-outs.  HSJ has designed, engineered and program managed systems including: nurse call, distributed antenna systems (DAS), sound masking, telemedicine technology implementation, real-time location systems (RTLS) for patient wandering, infant-abduction, and asset tracking, data communications network infrastructure, wireless communication, electronic access controls (vehicular and personnel), intelligent video management surveillance systems (clinical and security), emergency call station, network based visitor management, network based duress, intrusion detection, visitor screening technologies, perimeter security, mechanical and electromechanical openings of all types and functions.
