KINGSOLVER SCHOOL – FORT KNOX
Kingsolver Elementary School is located at Fort Knox and proudly provides K-5 classes for the children in military families. Kingsolver prides itself on being “A 21st Century Building for 21st Century Teaching and Learning.” HSJ provided Security, technology and hardware consulting throughout the design and construction of the school.
SECURITY, TECHNOLOGY & HARDWARE CONSULTANT
HSJ managed the selecting and specifying of commercial doors, automatic doors, frames and door hardware for the new school. HSJ also handled the design of access controls and CCTV systems along with the electromechanical door hardware and life safety systems, perimeter fence, bollards, security communications and mass notification systems. Requirements for blast resistance and mitigation for openings with Structural Engineer were coordinated by HSJ. Performance of sub-contractor supplier interviews with General Contractor, Construction Administrative Services, and Policy / Procedure Development also completed by HSJ.
